Position Overview 職位概況
Currently, we have a great opportunity available for a Territory Manager to join our Printing and Packaging business unit, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, Printing & Packaging, Asia. This exciting position will be located in China, preferably Guangdong.

The successful candidate will have primary responsibility in China for Michelman’s Flexible Packaging business activities plus secondary responsibility for Michelman’s Paper Coating & Digital Printing Primer business activities. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager for Printing & Packaging based in Singapore, the position will entail interacting with customers, Distributors and Channel Partners. The role will require achieving an appropriate balance of providing customer support, conducting field trials, selling, promotional activities, Channel management, interaction with key Stakeholders, etc., whilst simultaneously being accountable for territory growth, development of new business opportunities, customer satisfaction, inventory management and credit control. It is preferred that this position be based in South China

The Responsibilities of This Position Will Include

Act as the Manager of the assigned territory, accountable for territory growth, development of new business opportunities and maintaining customer satisfaction within the Flexible Packaging, Paper Coating & Digital Printing Industries.

• Agents and Distributor Management:

Act as the primary liaison between Michelman and Agents/Distributors in the Territory. Responsible for coordinating, prioritizing, and managing Agent & Distributor activities, ensuring they adhere to Michelman’s reporting requirements, and maintaining sufficient knowledge and motivation within Agents & Distributors to ensure the successful promotion and support of Michelman’s products.

Work with Regional Sales Manager, Asia for the Territory and Business Unit to plan and develop strategic direction of sales efforts, inventory management, invoicing, forecasting, pricing, etc. to ensure both Michelman and customer needs are met.

In tandem with the Regional Sales Manager, Asia, determine and justify how to segment the market and quantify market potential.

• Customer Relationships:

Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers, external customers and prospects, traveling regularly, attending trade shows and visiting key customers, suppliers and co suppliers to ensure both Michelman and customer needs are met.

Recognize the opportunity within each account and determine frequency of account visits. Formulate objectives and work towards commercializing new business at both existing and new accounts. Secure win/win opportunities for stakeholders within each key account.

Manage (develop strategies, measure effectiveness and articulate course corrections) at each element of the sales funnel within the territory, and ensure it is sufficiently robust to sustain targeted growth rates. Keep consultative selling skills and tools current.

Inform company relative to marketing trends, competitive products and pricing. Conduct promotional work to sell and develop new and existing business accounts. In collaboration with key industry stakeholders, participate in the training of colleagues, Channel Partners, Agents & Distributors, etc.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a science related field, e.g.: chemistry, graphic arts, coatings

• Advanced business degree preferred

• Selling background with a track record of past sales success in a related industry
